The internet used to reward creators for attention. The AI era rewards something else — creators who turn that attention into systems and products they actually own.
Creator CTO documents that shift: the move from content creator to AI-native builder and operator. Real builds, real tradeoffs, in public. No hype, no magic — just the process of turning an audience into durable assets.
I’m JL. I co-founded Front Yard Fantasy — a fantasy-sports media brand built around interactive shows, games, tools, and community — and Creator CTO is where I show how it all gets built, in public. Through FYF, I’ve produced content for companies across the fantasy-sports and gaming space, including FanDuel and Bettor Sports Network.
I’ve spent my career at the intersection of sports, media, and product. I was an early employee at PrizePicks, where I helped build the product and engineering team from the ground up, and later served as CTO of BDGE, a creator-led fantasy football media company. Across those roles I’ve built and launched real products for sports audiences — DFS and fantasy platforms, draft guides, rankings tools, job boards, and other fan-facing experiences.
Today I’m still building products and content through Front Yard Fantasy, and documenting the process here — the architecture calls, the tradeoffs, the unglamorous infrastructure that decides whether a product actually holds up. Creator CTO is where I help creators, operators, and media teams use AI to build better workflows, products, and audience experiences.
